Saint Gerasimos.

Saint Gerasimos is the protector of the island and his body is preserved at the nunnery in the area of Omala.

He is celebrated on the 16th of August (1 day after his death) and on The 20th of October where on both days a big festival takes place.

Apart from the new big church you can also visit the old church behind it where you can descend underground and see where Saint Gerasimos used to live.

It is only 35 minutes from the camping.
